My name is Madison Auerbach, also known as "Artist In Red." I’m a 28-year-old Abstract Splash Artist from Houston, Texas, and I recently published my debut book, A MAGNIFICENT DISPLAY OF INSANITY. 

 

This isn’t just a book — it’s my soul on paper. It’s the story of a young girl who grew up feeling broken, who fell into addiction, self-hatred, and darkness… and somehow found her way back to life. My art became my voice when words couldn’t capture the depth of what I felt. I turned pain into color, chaos into movement, and healing into something beautiful. Each abstract piece tells an emotional story. It’s raw, it’s painful, but it’s also a story of hope, healing, and rediscovery.

 

I wrote it for anyone who has ever felt invisible, lost, or like they weren’t enough. For the people silently battling mental illness, addiction, or abuse. I want them to know that they are not alone — that there is a way out, and a way forward. That even in the most chaotic pain, there is still beauty to be found.

 

I wrote my book to share this message of resilience and redemption with people who might be on the edge of giving up. I want to show them that from even the deepest pain, something beautiful can emerge. That your scars don’t disqualify you — they define your strength. And through both my story and my art, I hope to be a mirror for others to see their own healing is possible.
